I've been aware of several crawfish boils around here, but have yet to go to one! They had one at RTS a few weeks ago, but I had to work. :( So sad!
We sell "Craw Pups" at work, though, which are quite tasty. (Hush Puppies with crawfish meat in them!) Dipped in Remoulade sauce, which is something else I'd never heard of until we moved here.
Also, this restaurant that is basically across the street from my apartment boils crawfish every Thursday. My apartment complex also has crawfish boils on occasion, but I have yet to go to one. Crawfish boils are pretty much the deep south equivalent of barbecues. I like crawfish, but my lazy side usually leads me avoid food that I have to peel.
Aw man, I loooovvvveee crawfish ...)boils. The Northern Neck does a similar thing with blue crabs, the islands in the Chesapeake have been known to throw one or two, but my mom's side from South Carolina throw them every few months (also good is some catfish with it). Cool beans!
You should make it, if at all possible, not August 1.
I'd like to do the 7th or 8th if at all possible (Mary's work schedule will be predictable, and I'll probably plan around that and travlers). Will you be a workin' man by then?
