Hey you people - I had a frightening incident recently, being pursued by another Tale. That "Tale sense" came in really handy. I don't really know what it means, but be careful. Heads up.
I'm alright, Edie. It seems physical labor and twelve years in the army actually does pay off. I have good instincts, if I do say so myself. And I can run like the fleeting wind. So all is well. Though I will take you up on the cocoa just because it sounds good. I'll tell you the whole story over a cup.
Jonathan, would you come through the British mirror at Val's as soon as possible and give me a closer description of this? Tales vs. Tales is historically a dangerous thing.
Well that's the point really. It's not like me to react like that, both Tale-wise and mortal-personality-wise. I mean, might be a bit of a blunderbuss at times, but I've been in combat often enough to have good instincts about danger. It was almost like having my Tale turned inside out - a very disconcerting feeling.
Oh, and when I got back into my apartment, my cat hissed at the door and ran. Which sounds stupid written out, but believe me, she knew something was there and it freaked her out. I'm not making this up.
I was walking home when I encountered it; it chased me to my apartment. Sorry for the confusion. And I definitely heard it outside. I'm not saying for sure that it's invisible or something - once I started running I didn't look back. Seen too many horror movies for that.

I don't doubt what you saw or felt, but I highly doubt there are Tales out there like that.
