Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day
This is my first post here, so hopefully it's all in order. If anything needs to be changed please let me know.
Just saw this subject and was instantly inspired to write a random little drabble. Hope this isn't too short, and that at least someone finds it as entertaining to read as it was to write.

Lynzyk stared down at the bubble wrap in his onyx hands, frowning intently. The lean calloused fingers roved lightly over the plastic, puzzling at it. Nico held his breath, waiting.
The Dark Elf lifted his eerily mismatched gaze to Nico’s. “What is it?” The vampire couldn’t help but grin.
“It’s bubble wrap…” He explained, reaching out to take the far corner of the sheet between his hands. “You pop it… see… like this.” He snapped one bubble between his fingers, forcing himself to stifle his snicker as the Dark Elf half startled at the sound.
The warrior's fingers shifted slowly and Nico moved his own hand, watching as Lynzyk deftly popped one tiny bubble then jerked his hand away as though he expected it to hurt. Lynzyk’s gaze lifted to his again, one white brow lifting slightly “Why?”
Nico laughed helplessly, reaching out to pop another bubble and then another. “Because, Lynzyk… it’s fun.”
The Dark Elf frowned at him slightly, but Nico noticed he had not relinquished his grip on the plastic. Slowly the dark fingers shifted again. Another bubble snapped. Nico watched, silent. Yet another small bubble snapped and Nico leaned forward, watching as the corners of the Dark Elf’s lips slowly lifted.
“Fun...” There was something like disdain in the tone, but Nico wasn’t fooled. Another bubble popped beneath jet fingers.
“Yes, Lynzyk… fun.”
