Su-oh sat on the rock a short swim from shore and looked out over the calm sea. Waves rippled and gently foamed, rocking past him on their slow and careful journey to shore, where the cottage was that Su-oh now lived in.
It wasn't his home though, and a fisherman stealing his skin would not change that. Su-oh would find it someday, and then no rough hands or voice or kiss would be able to stop him.
The fisherman was not a bad man. He was also not a good man. Su-oh could not wait to be rid of him-out of his broken-down cottage, out of his too-long reach, out of his sweat-stained bed.
He would find his skin. He had searched, and had a feeling he knew where it was. The fisherman could not keep it hidden forever. Su-oh would find it, and he would put it on and dive into the sea. The morning mist would veil him, the waves cover him, the foam hide his path. He would return to the shore where his family lived, and his sisters would welcome him home.
