This is such a hauntingly beautiful story! There are shades (no pun intended) of Pied Piper and Death and the story of Persephone and Hades, but woven into something far sweeter than any of those. I love that Cole has always been looking for Corwin, in his way; and that Corwin was waiting for Cole and didn't realize that Cole would recognize him and his music, much less feel drawn to him after finding out who/what he is.

THIS IS SO PRETTY! *__* And yet it goes deeper than pretty. It's a ghost story and a love story wrapped into a gorgeously-written whole. I really liked it. ♥

If I hadn't been trolling my Friends Page, I'd not have found this and that would have been a loss for me.
This is beautiful and as you promised the mix of Persephone's story with that of the Pied Piper. It is original and familiar both and very very nice.
