Happy holidays, everyone! I hope you all have had a great year so far! I have not had the best time this year. My family and I have been homeless since January, and we were all living in the car in a Safe Parking program until I got kicked out in October for something I thought had been dealt with. Does your daughter has a woman name she uses with you ? I'd prefer use it than her deadname inside a card for her.

She does! She goes by Lena in most online spaces, so as long as my name is on the envelope, you can use Lena on the inside of the card.

It's a very charming name. I'll add it in her card. The envelope is at her deadname (I don't like it, but administration...) and your name.
And as bi woman, I'd thank you to take care of your daughter. Too much people are hateful with our young queer people, specially with our young trans people. It's precious to give her the chance to grown in a loving family.

If you give me an idea of when you send it, I'll make sure she comes with me to the office to get it. I know seeing her chosen name on the card is going to make her day.

We have our issues, but I supported her when she came out to me as bi and I support her being trans. She can be a handful sometimes, but I love her and I wouldn't ask for a different kid even if I got a "perfect" child. I love my daughter just the way she is.
