Dear mods,

Is it permitted to edit my wishlist as follows:

I had, as one of my items, "please consider sending something to person X; they haven't posted their wishlist here yet this year, but I hope they will".

Person X has now posted their wishlist; can I add an "Edit" to that item, with a link to their wishlist?

Thanks!

I don't see it in the queue. If you didn't get a rejection from another mod, it probably didn't go through. Try again?

How does one check if their wishlist is in the queue? Just ask one of the mods? Because I don't see mine and I submitted it yesterday.

Posting here is a great way to ask! It was in the queue, and should be posted now.

For anyone else who sees this comment: In general, give us at least 24 hours to look over your wishlist, and if you don't see it go through, feel free to poke us to see if your list is still in the queue or if it didn't go through. We try to stay on top of checking the queue, but sometimes we get busy and just assume other mods are handling it (which might not be true if the others are also busy).

Hello lovely mods!

I am SO sorry for my idiocy, but I've accidentally posted something that was supposed to be posted to holiday-thanks. Please delete!

Thanks so much for all your hard work! :)

Dear mods,

Thanks again for organizing this! This has been my second year participating fully, and I've enjoyed it immensely :)

You've probably already seen recent LJ info, but in case if not, I thought I'd show you the links:

So, in view of the above, I wanted to mention the idea--for your consideration--of possibly backing up the comm to Dreamwidth at some point...

Best wishes,

Cat

Thanks for this! I was vaguely aware of this, but hadn't realized that communities could be backed up to Dreamwidth.

"holiday_wishes" has already been taken as a username, but I've just created a "holidaywishes" community and have requested an import of old posts/tags/etc. I've also created and requested an import for "holiday_thanks". We won't officially move unless something happens to the LiveJournal community, but it's good to have a back up just in case.

Anytime! I agree with you, I wouldn't necessarily advocate a full-scale move, but it's good to have a backup. I'd been backing up my LJ to DW for quite a while now.

Thanks for backing up the comms! I hope nothing does happen to LJ, and we'll all meet here again next November, but it is best to be prepared...I like the way Zig Ziglar put it, "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, capitalize on what comes".

Thanks again and best wishes,

Cat
