Andy sat in a chair by the bed, his head resting on the small patch of matress just beside Bach's right hip. His arms dangled by his side and he was snoring lightly, making a small noise at the height of his breath in.
He awoke with a start at the sound of a groan. "Bacchus," he asked in a strangled tone. His voice was hoarse, his eyes red but he smiled as he looked into the eyes of his secret boyfriend. "Fucking hell, thank god, I was getting worried. The nurse said you'd wake up but I - "
He cut himself off to lean down and kiss the boy softly on the lips. The curtain was pulled around them, so he had no reason to panic about the public display. He broke away and grabbed the glass of water on the end table, handing it to Bach. "The nurse told me to get you to drink this, it's just water but she said you'd be dehydrated."
He heard a cry of pain form the bed next to him and he twitched unnervingly, spilling a few drops of water on himself.
Bacchus gave a little moan into the kiss, shutting his eyes again. Oh, good boyfriend! Bacchus didn't know what he'd have done if he'd woken up to be alone. He tried to wrap an arm around Andy, but the boy had moved to fetch him water and Bacchus wasn't really able to move fast enough to catch him, so he just dropped back into the pillows.
"You...You okay?" he asked, shivering a short but harsh burst again, as he'd been doing earlier right after the attack. At least now the shiverings were farther inbetween.
"What was that?!" he whispered harshly, looking a little terrified. Oh, but he knew-- it was probably just someone else hurt in the battle. He winced when he tried to sit up, taking the water from Andy.
"Don't shake," he scolded the boy gently. It still hurt to talk a little.
"They're gone, aren't they? It's okay...really, Andy..." his voice went gentle, clearly not wanting the boy to worry.
"I'm fine, I'm fine, lay back, here." Andy moved the pillows behind his back, so Bacchus could sit up a little. He held the glass up to Bach's lips, waiting for him to take a sip. He was clearly in no shape to hold it by himself.
"The infirmary is packed. I've been helping out a bit." He held his free hand to his eyes, pressing the heel of his palm against each eye alternatively. It was clear the younger boy had been pushed to the very limit of his sanity tonight.
"Yeah, they're gone," he said, eyes trying to wearily focus on the boy in front of him. "And no one is dead. But..."
He pulled away and got his wand out his back pocket. He kept his hand behind his back, so Bacchus didn't notice. He would be ready to stun him like the nurse said, if Bacchus became crazy with the news Andy had yet to tell him. He didn't want to but Bacchus was Bacchus, and he was less predictable than most people.
Bacchus drank the water shakily, as another set of tremors was coming on. He rode him out, clutching the glass tightly so that it didn't fall and break. He felt so meek and small, so... vulnerable, that damnable word. He shivered again and shut his eyes. Everything huuurt!
He listened to Andy speak and opened his eyes, looking back up at the boy, not even noticing that he'd removed his wand and was holding it behind his back.
"You said no one was dead," he clarified, frowning. "What the hell do you mean, things aren't okay? They're gone, no one is dead, everything should be peachy!"
Andy was making him nervous with this talk. And a nervous Bach was an angry Bach. He went into another violent tremor, gasping for it hurt so bad to move but his body was forcing him to.
