Bacchus scoffed, straddling his Nimbus 2001 between his legs, and just hovering before her. Ellie Sullivan. Really? Quidditch? Wasn't she the sort of girl who liked to, he didn't know, dream about knights in shining armor and read books and shit? Apparently not.

"Gotcha, girl, but you coulda learned that listening to the Wireless, aye?" he asked, leaning back a little. "Ever fly before? Or, lemme guess-- it was the one class ye never managed to quite get an A in?"

There was a twinkle in his eye that revealed him to be joking.

"Hup on it, girly! Instinct works better than knowledge in Quidditch, donche know?" He sped around her in circles, sitting elegantly on the edge of his broom.

Ellie glared at Bacchus playfully when he joked with her. "I did fine in flying class, I'll have you know!"

She hopped onto her little old Cleansweep and hovered just enough above the ground, her eyebrows furrowed in deep concentration. Ellie didn't like to get anything wrong, so she made sure to start off on the right foot. In an attempt to mimic Bach's casual posture, she loosened up her legs and leaned back just a bit.

She would definitely have to get used to this.

"All right, Bach," Ellie began, a little warily. "What should I do?"

"You stop stop looking like that broom is riding up your arse," he said, teasingly to the girl, winking in a flirtatious manner at her. "Really. Relax. More likely to fall off if you're all rigid like that! Just don't even think about it right now," he said.

"Just... think about it like this, alright? Just think that, you've suddenly been given the ability to fly! Part of Quidditch is the fact that you have no fear of what you're doing, amirite?" he takes his hands off his broom handle and just hovers there.

"Think on it, girl: if I were playing football, would I be worried about what my feet were doing as I ran after a ball? No, I'm intent on getting the ball first. Here, take your hands off your little twig there and just hover, like this." He demonstrated, holding his hands out even at his sides.

Ellie scowled at Bacchus before smiling graciously at him. 'Riding up her arse', hm? Well, he certainly loved to put things in blunt terms, didn't he? She studied Bach's smooth movements and attempted to copy them. The football analogy made her flush a little bit, though. Oh god, had she been looking at her feet for that long?

"Right," she replied hastily. "That makes sense! Not worried about my feet..."

Ellie took a breath before taking her hands off of the broom. She couldn't deny that her limbs were shaking. Oh jeez, what if she fell off? Trying to stay balanced, she carefully looked at Bacchus.

"And you fly around like this!? It just seems so unstable, and-- EEEEK!"

The Cleansweep beneath her had suddenly flipped, and she slid off of it. With an unceremonious landing, Ellie was on the ground, flat on her bottom. Her face immediately went red, and she attempted to hide her face. How embarrassing-- to fall off of your broom in front of Bacchus Donovan...

"I d-did not mean to do that!" she said swiftly, as if she had to defend
