we've never seen jack really do remorse. i have to imagine that if you were immortal, when you did finally crack it would be nearly impossible to come back from.

totally agree, remorse is I think quite new to Jack, he may have moved on from being the conman Rose met, but I don't think he ever regretted it, he justified it to himself

i think the doctor went looking for him. the silver devastation is a reference to the supposed home of the face of boe.

ah... missed that reference. Thanks for clearing it up. But it's also a good thing that it takes him a while to get there, b/c Jack does need to mourn. Which, I'm sure you know. Since you wrote this and all. :)

i try to be subtle *grin*.

as i said earlier, we've never really seen jack lose it. i would imagine an immortal, if they went over the edge like that would probably get trapped and need someone else to pull them out of the abyss as it were. i can imagine that years or decades might pass where he would just sit and stare at a walk blankly if there wasn't someone there to keep his attention.

oh jeez. i'm so not going there... that's even a bit too dark for me.
