Squee! T'was an awesome eppie! Yes, love the Dan and the Donna [g] And Dan and Connie! And Jac and Joseph and Lord Byrne and his wife. Ric and Abra -- 'it's nothing homosexualist' !! Just about choked on my wine! Really, really stellar episode!
Oh yeah, the 'homosexualist' quote. Funny, I hadn't heard that expression before finding Top Gear.
And Connie rules! She is so onto the manipulations. Next ep is going to be eeeeeeenteresting...
And Dan... did you spot he was standing outside when Thandie was buttering up Rick? And the file... like hell that was the only copy. Wonder how he's manged to get witnesses to the fact that Ric destroyed it? -- because you know somehow he'll find out. Or rather get confirmation. ;)
And Jac! I was amazed she dropped the ball and hinted to Lord B just what she wanted from him. Just shows she's got a long way to go before she's in Dan's and Connie's league as a player.
And awwww Elliot. I love how he's so easygoing, but cross him and you see the steel underneath.
Finally! It took 12 hours to download on dial-up. What a great episode. Dan and Connie both rock. I think Dan has finally hit his limit with Jac. It was one thing to watch her manipulate and lie and find amusement when she was shot down. Now she has torn apart a family, with absolutely no remorse. And he appears quite disgusted with her.
The Thandie situation is coming to a head too - this week in fact. I was reading the spoilers from the forum and Ric dumps her before the wedding. Elliot gets exonerated and Lord Byrne gets buried. Jac is just screwed and not in a good way.
Really looking forward to this next week. And the 14th is looking really good too.
Now I think I need to rewatch this week's episode again.
Ric and Thandie's wedding is marred when Connie, Elliot and Jess fail to show at the reception. Connie then tells Ric that she's spoken to Thandie's old medical school in Addis Ababa, who say that they have no record of a person named Thandie.
Later, Ric confronts Thandie telling her that he knows about her fake qualifications and that she played the race card against Elliot to cover herself. Thandie agrees to write a letter exonerating Elliot, before Ric takes her home to pack up her things.
When Jac turns up at Lord Byrne's funeral, a furious Joseph tells her to leave. At the hospital, Joseph tears into Jac for the hurt she's caused his family. When Jac fails to show any remorse, Joseph hits her.
Also, Mark tries to recapture his youth by taking cocaine.
He definitely breaks up with her - he takes her home and makes her pack her things. I can't see Connie waiting until after the ceremony to tell him. But, then, Holby is a rule in itself.
That was one of the blurbs I read as well. Since the reception is after the wedding, it would seem they get married and then he finds out. Would serve him right [she says darkly] [g]

I can't wait for next week. Thandie's goose is finally going to be cooked.
I loved Dan and Connie going at it over the private room Byrne was in. I wish we'd have more of them!

Wasn't it awesome? Yes, we've now seen how important family is to Dan, so Jac did the unforgivable. I would not want to be on Dan's bad side!
I've read both that he doesn't marry her and that he does and then finds out. I guess we'll see. Can't wait!
I wanted to rewatch last night, but never got time. Maybe tonight.
