Slices of Life

+ I had a four day old scone this morning that resulted in my becoming sick in the Poughkeepsie Journal bathroom. Or perhaps its the cold I've been battling on and off since Friday morning, the one that left me shivering inside my pea coat whilst eating gyros at Yanni's with my dad. Or perhaps its the stress of recent events.. The body is fickle ( Read more... )

Placebo is performing at Edgefest on Sunday, a festival that I will be attending. I believe my friends intend on dragging me to see them. Should I further the jealousy by attempting to provide photographic proof of the adventures?
When you mentioned your dad being involved in the ATV incident I thought you were going to add that he pushed your brother down a hill on it or something along those lines. I'd be really afraid of our fathers ever meeting. My dad is the mischievous nerd and your dad seems to injure everyone at least once with one of his ideas. It'd be scary to combine that kind of "power".

Aww...its so cool that we're both going to see Placebo in the coming week. I'd love to take pics but I fear the loss of or damage to my digi cam.

Oh, it would definitely end in blood shed of some sort, to be sure. But how amazing and memorable would the blood shed be!

I plan on subjecting my poor camera to possible damage. I'm such a sucker for personal concert photos. Kristen, Casie, and I are driving out to Frisco at about 8 or so in the morning. I'm not thrilled about how early it will be. I hope we don't fall asleep on the way there. Kristen and I might be stuck there by ourselves for a while if anyone worth seeing is playing after 5:30. Casie is going to ditch us to go pick up her son. Pfft. As if he needs to be watched or something. He's a resourceful three year old. I'm sure he could survive on koolaid packets for a few hours. >>

I think we should bring our fathers together at least once in their lifetimes. It'd be amusing to say the least. Besides, my dad still has his heart set on meeting the girl who feels Carvel is declining as much as he does. :P

You know, if you HAVE to visit the West Coast, no place is more gorgeous than Seattle ;)

I'm still pissed at myself re: New Orleans. I lived a 6 hour drive away for 18 years and never managed to get around to going to visit, even when my Dad would offer to drive me. Then I move up here and New Orleans get wiped by Katrina. I suck

Lol. We'll see, we'll see. There are actually a few choice amazing people that reside in that city that I might visit...yourself naturally included.

You and me both. Marian and I were supposed to visit the winter before Katrina hit... Alas. Still, Sofie has told me that some areas are basicalluy back to normal...though others, unfortunately, are far worse than the media has reported.

I had gone through 3 cat 1 hurricanes, 2 cat 1s and countless tropical storms. none of those compare REMOTELY to how strong katrina was, and I still see some of the damages left behind when I visit my parents. New Orleans won't be the same for at least another 25 years. We mvoed to Houston 2 years after Alicia, a cat 3 hit, and they hadn't even finished fixing our pop.30,000 city until I was graduating high school.
