LJ returns the following error message:

E.g. in my post
http://hojja-nusreddin.livejournal.com/3111961.htmlin the 3-rd line from the bottom:
«The Dear Leader Unmasked»:
http://www.gathe[r].com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976812314 I had to play the following trick: embrace the letter "r" in square brackets.

Dear hojja_nusreddin,
Below is an answer to to your support question regarding "LJ doesn't allow to post, if there is URL" (
http://www.livejournal.com/support/see_request.bml?id=1611026&auth=734c).
Thank you for your inquiry.
Links to gather.com are prohibited. Any entries containing links to that site will be blocked with the error message you received. This is due to the extremely high volume of spam we've encountered containing links to the site.
You will need to remove these links from your entry, or alter them as you have done, in order to be able to post an entry with such a link.

Dear LJ support,
thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I can't consider it satisfactory for the following reasons:
1. LJ system gave me wrong diagnostics (as I described in my original request):
instead of informing me about the prohibited site URL in my post, it advised me about some unspecified problem.
2. It took a lot of time on my part to debug the problem.
3. It seems to me that it would be very easy for the LJ programmers to add a proper diagnostics to the error message at the same time when a site is being added to the LJ ban list.

Is there a list of all the LJ banned URLs available for the users?

The error you received was the correct error message for when this problem occurs.
I am sorry it is not more descriptive, but that is by design in this particular case:
we prefer legitimate users write in to us to receive information about the specific blocked site,
rather than informing potential spammers exactly what the problem is (which also informs them how to get around it).
