I'm still smiling madly over this, sometimes we made it after all. In spite of the surprise suck of birds in the engine, the pilot landed it safely, the crew guided everyone out, the passengers helped each other, and the cavalry of coast guards and commuter ferries arrived in time to save them all from the freezing waters.

I like how multiple ferries went, some even turning back to pick up the passengers.

I cried when I watch Spiderman II, the scene in the train when everyone was helping Spidey. Good to know that it has basis in reality. YES IT DOES!

I just love the image of the ferry passengers grabbign the life-vests and throwing them overboard to the people in the water :) It makes me feel good about the world.
