Name: Caitlin Marie
Age: 15 1/2
Favourite Subject at Hogwarts: Charms, probably because of the hands-on learning and spells would be funnest for me to learn, so I can try them out.
How do you spend your leisure time at Hogwarts?: Reading in the library, talking with friends at meals, or walking around outside if it's not raining.
If you could store one memory in a Pensieve, what would it be? If it were possible, my dreams, because I love my dreams, they're awesome, but I can never remember them.
If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into?: My boggart would probably turn into a killer with a knife, who would chase me into a corner.
What would you see in the Mirror of Erised?: Hmm, that's a toughie. Most likely me with all my friends and family, together, and not separated. My mom and brothers live across the country, and I'm moving away from my friends soon, and it's devastating. I love being with them, I'm very close to my friends.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself? "Always be yourself, continue to stand up for yourself, and don't let people get to you. Develop organizational habits early." (I'm a terribly disorganized person :P)
Would you have put your name in the Goblet of Fire?: Oh definitely not, what with its reputation for being deadly. But if nobody told me it was deadly, I probably would, just for curiosity, to compete.
Harry Potter: Hero, Attention-Seeker, or Normal Kid in a Bad Situation? And Why? Hmmm. I think the first and last one. He's a normal kid in a bad situation, it's not like he chose to be what he is, but he still lives a nearly-normal life. He does average in school, hangs out with friends, etc. He's a hero, though, because of how he defeats Voldemort time after time. Even if he does have help, or relies on luck or instinct, he still wins in the end.
Voldemort: Evil, Genius, or just plain Misunderstood? And why? Definitely genius, because he learned at an early age what magic was and that he could use it to control people and get ahead in life, and he has skill and is very clever at what he does. He may kill innocent people and cause mayhem and destruction, but that's just getting rid of obstacles on his path to world domination, or becoming the most powerful wizard alive, or whatever.
Under what circumstances would you use an Unforgivable Curse?: If I were in a life-threatening situation (if it was going to be used against me) or if someone was using one on my friends or family.
What single quality goes the furthest in defining who you are?: Self-awareness, really knowing who I am and not letting anyone put me down or tell me who I'm going to be. I'm here for myself, not to please other people.
What makes a person respectable?: A respectable person obviously has respect for other people, as well as knowing that the world doesn't revolve around them. Compassion, trustworthiness, self-esteem, and not playing the "dumb blonde" thing, like, not acting dumb to get attention. It's nice when people show off their smarts.
If you had to choose between your family, your friends, and your own beliefs, what would you do? I'd pick my friends. Sometimes, it seems like my friends are closer to me than my family are, they can really relate to me, andI know they're always there for me. My friends also stick together no matter what, unlike family, which can get separated and have tension.
What do you look for in a friend? : Knowing who they are, knowing that they're worth something, that they are very important to some people (having self-esteem, basically), being smart, nice, and... well... friendly.
Put the following words in order of importance to you: Duty, Family, Friendship, Honor, Justice, Power, Tradition (Power, Honor, Duty, Justice, Family, Friendship)
If you could have either a well paid easy job that did not task you mentally, or a lower paying job which gave you the freedom to pursue your interests, which would you choose? Definitely the latter, because I know how to get by with very little money, and I'd much rather be doing something I enjoy, instead of being bored all day doing something I hate.
What qualities do you possess from each of the four houses?: Gryffindor: I'd say I'm kinda brave, I take risks, I like to try new things. Hufflepuff: I'm pretty shy around people I don't know, and friends are really important to me, I try to be good at what I do. I work hard when a subject really interests me. Slytherin: I'm clever, witty, and I tend to defend myself fiercely when people put me down. Ravenclaw: I'm pretty booksmart, I love learning new things, and reading is one of my favorite past times. My friends often tell me I'm smart, and I like to use "big words".
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?: Probably my self-esteem level, I really believe in myself, I just don't really like my physical appearance. I wouldn't change it, but I would change what I think about my body.
If you were an animagus, what would you turn into? (Assuming that the animal reflects the person, it is not chosen.): I would probably be a dog. I'm energetic, optimistic, and very loyal. I love being around people.
In which house do you think you belong, and why?: I'm actually not sure at all. Maybe Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff, I don't really know. I think I'm a mix between those three Houses because I posses qualities from all three.
How did you find us? If it was from a post say where and who posted it.: I was looking for a sorting community on LJ, and this one was the one I picked at random, and it seemed the most in-depth.
