Name: Gina
Age: 15
Favorite Subject at Hogwarts: DADA. I’m pretty much interested in any subject at Hogwarts, but DADA seems extremely concept oriented, which I adore. . It’s a critical thinking puzzle. I live for that sort of thing.
How do you spend your leisure time at Hogwarts?: Reading or screwing around with my friends. I’d probably be in the library 90% of the time… the other 10% would be spent ransacking the common room.
If you could store one memory in a Pensieve, what would it be?: I assume something from my earliest childhood… I miss too much to actually narrow it down to one thing. I think I’d pick a moment where I was out of my own head and focusing entirely on something else.
If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into?: A dementor. Something that can make you relive your absolute worst memories and horrors? That is definitely the most frightening thing I can think of.
What would you see in the mirror of Erised?: A happier version of myself, someone much more successfully emotionally.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself?: Pretend you don’t know everything for a second, and get off the goddamned computer ;)
Would you have put your name in the Goblet of Fire?: No. I’m a physical coward. I think the puzzles are interesting, but I’m to scrawny and muscle-less to even attempt to do anything like fighting dragons.
Harry Potter: Hero, Attention Seeker, or Normal Kid in a Bad Situation? And why?: Normal kid, but with extraordinary talents. Any normal kid off the street could never do what Harry did. He's still not a hero, though. He's motivated by pure, unadulterated love, and that's what makes him so interesting
Voldemort: Evil, Genius, or just plain Misunderstood? And why?: Misunderstood genius. Any tyrant or dictator is definitely brilliant, but is putting their intelligence to bad use because of emotional instability. Voldemort had, excuse mon francais, an extremely fucked up childhood. If he had not had the magical power and genius that he possessed, he would not have gotten far at all.
Under what circumstances would you use an unforgivable curse?: To protect someone in imminent danger of death. I would have also used it in the situation that Harry did after Sirius’ death.
What single quality goes furthest in defining who you are?: I think bravery, but not in the form of slaying dragons or saving the earth. Bravery goes far beyond that, in my opinion. Bravery is more about character than about what you actually do.
What makes a person respectable?: Intelligence, bravery, the incentive to push themselves forward and conviction of their own opinions
If you had to choose between your family, your friends, and your own beliefs, what would you choose?: IMy beliefs, because what I feel internally to be right is more important than what others feel is right as well.
What do you look for in a friend?: Some sort of emotional bonding. Someone who I can be a complete idiot with one moment and discus Pinter the next. Having shared interests is also nice..
Put the following words in order of their importance to you: Duty, Family, Friendship, Honor, Justice, Power, Tradition:
Honor
Family-Friendship
Power
Justice-Duty
Tradition (I HATE TRADITION - except for in a few circumstances)
If you could have either a well paid easy job that did not task you mentally, or a lower paying job which gave you freedom to pursue your interests, which would you choose?:
It’s easy to say the lower paying job, but the well paid job may allow you to pursue your interests elsewhere due to fiscal ability. It really depends on what your interests are. All the while, I’d choose the lower paying job.
What qualities do you possess from each of the four houses?:
Gryffindor - I consider myself to be brave, I guess
Ravenclaw- I assume I am intelligent? I really honor wit above a ton of other things
Slytherin - I am power hungry, no doubt about that
Hufflepuff - Eh… I dunno.. I guess I’m loyal to my friendships, but I’m much better at sabotaging them than I am at staying with them
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?: I would make myself a bit less stuck up, a bit less cunning, a bit less elitist, and a whole hell of a lot less annoying
If you were an animagus, what would you turn into?: A cheetah. I’m really not sure why. I’ve always been asked this question, and that was the first thing that popped into my head as something that I identify with
Which house do you think you belong in, and why?: I have no clue. That’s for you to tell me, isn’t it? ;)
How did you find us?: Interest searched Emma Watson (I was looking for an icon), and tahdah.
