DROPPING GLASSES JUST TO HEAR THEM BREAK | A SLYTHERIN VAMPIRE MIX
Oct 18, 2014 23:07
For my vampire alter-ego as part of Slytherin Vamp Mascot Week for Term XXX. Backstory under the cut for characterization purposes; I can't seem to make mixes without being ridiculous about things like that.
The life and afterlife of Gemma Santi has been a bit of a whirlwind. Born in 1905, she grew up as normally as anyone else around her, but it wasn't until the dawn of the Roaring 20s that she really came alive...and, well, undead. Her teenage years sought independence and found it in the bright lights and sparkly dresses of the jazz clubs and speakeasys. The thrill of independence and the changing times led to increasingly reckless behavior, and those choices caught up to her one night in the fall of 1927 - when she was turned into a vampire at the mere age of 22. At first terrified of her newfound immortality, Gemma learned to embrace it as the next step of her independence, and hasn't looked back since.
LIFE
04.
CRAZY IN LOVE; SWING REPUBLIC [LISTEN] I'm not myself, lately; I'm foolish, I don't do this I've been playing myself, but baby, I don't care
04.
HELP, I'M ALIVE; METRIC [LISTEN] If we're still alive, my regrets are few. If my life is mine, what shouldn't I do? I get wherever I'm going, I get whatever I need While my blood's still flowing, and my heart's still beating like a hammer
04.
GLORY AND GORE; LORDE [LISTEN] There's a humming in the restless summer air And we're slipping off the course that we prepared But in all chaos, there is calculation; dropping glasses just to hear them break.
TRANSFORMATION
02.
BOTTOM OF THE RIVER; DELTA RAE [LISTEN] If you get sleep or if you get none, the cock's gonna call in the morning, baby. Check the cupboard for your daddy's gun, red sun rises like an early warning.
05.
LAURA PALMER; BASTILLE [LISTEN] What a year and what a night. What terrifying final sights put out your beating heart. The night was all you had, you ran into the night from all you had Found yourself a path upon the ground You ran into the night; you can't be found
02.
HUMAN; DAUGHTER [LISTEN] Woken up like an animal, teeth ready for sinking. My mind's lost in bleak visions; I've tried to escape but keep sinking.
LET IT GO; THE NEIGHBORHOOD [LISTEN] Shouldn't try to fix it if it keeps getting better, just let it go, forget it forever Don't ever resent a letter inside a single word written. A little change can play lanes with the right vision. Couldn't tell what would happen next, but as weeks went by look what turned to best.
01.
FLATHEAD; THE FRATELLIS [LISTEN] She might just want my bones, you see. And hey flathead, don't you get mean, she's the second best killer that I have ever seen.
