Yeay! We've been approved by Blaze to sponsor the Prediction Contest! Isn't that great?

So, I want to try and get it up and running for TOMORROW. Do you think that's too much to aim for? All we need to do is organize the rules and a way to tally the results that's not overwhelming.

I would suggest rewarding with more points. I gave the ONLY entry to my last mini fic contest 40 points, but that was special. I would say maybe 2-4 points per correct prediction. and perhaps a bonus for the winner. Just so that it's comprable to other hogwartssorting contests

Okay! I didn't want to award too many points, since I wasn't sure if you'd approve! If all of the members of one house enter the contest and we give them 3 points each -- that's 18 points a person can earn, total -- then we're allowing about 200 points to be earned for each house, if not more! I thought that might be too many points, which could allow one house to get drastically ahead of another (Say, 12 people enter from Hufflepuff and only 4 from Ravenclaw). With each correct prediction being worth 1/2 points, and a person can earn 3 total, that makes the amount of points a house can earn about ... 60 points for each house, if all the members enter. I figured that would be about right. Do you see what I mean? However, if you want to offer more points still, let me know. You are the Headmistress. :-D

That is kinda the point. You see. if Ravenclaw were to bust out and get everyone to do this, they could be back in the running. This contest is an easy one to participate in, and will actually allow for some competition for the cup. The fact of the matter is not everyone WILL participate, and I want those who do to feel like it matters, that they could possibly drasticly change the standing for the cup.

yeah I'll make a layout whenever you want it xD

and I agree with Blaze about the points; it's more exciting if one house could pull together and get ahead with this :) I think 2 or 3 points sounds perfect.
