I adore this; your characters are complex and wonderful and heart-breaking all in one. I love the way give Zach purpose, so that he's still a ass, but you can sympathize with him. (A likeable ass? ;) And even though Wayne says barely a handful of words, you make me feel as though he's got as rich a history and life as Harry and Co. Their dreams are all wonderful, and this line - "For helping us remember who we're fighting for." - just perfect. ♥

I love this. You're right, there are never enough stories written about the Puffs, but it is well worth the wait if something as fantastic as yours comes along. The subtlety of your characterisation is wonderful and I think I like Megan so much more for coming up with something as silly and yet heartbreaking as restoring an old house.

And this: So that's why Wayne had never seemed interested in any of the girls at Hogwarts - he had one back home. She always assumed he was gay. Pure golden I must say. :D

This is very well done. I liked that they each had something to fight/strive for, especially Megan's. Love that fixing something and making it beautiful is her wish, the effort involved strikes me as very Hufflepuff.

A lovely story that really brought the Hufflepuffs into focus.
