The vibrant movement and emotion in this piece amaze me, and I can't stop staring at the almost disapproving stillness of Rowena's statue. I like how you've rendered the magic and everyone's expressions-fantastic!

You've really captured the emotions well here, especially Harry's rage and Amycus' pain. I'm amazed at the skill of your painting - watercolours and inks is it? It honestly wouldn't look out of place as an illustation in the book itself. You raise good points in your notes too and I think this is a wonderful piece for the Ravenclaw House.

Thank you very much! Yes, it's made with watercolours and a few strokes of pen for the lineart - otherwise it's simply pencil.

I agree, this would look right at home in any of the books. It is beautiful, and captures the scene incredibally!

alkjfalkjf I love this! First of all, the first gaze at the picture is a joy--I felt my eyes were able to take it in all at once rather than hyper-focusing on one particular part, which I often find happening ( ... )

Thank you so very much for your detailed comment! <3

I tried to stick with canon as much as I could, re-reading descriptions of Ravenclaw common room, of Amycus, and of Minerva. In fact, we know lesser about how Harry was dressed than about the others... I imagined Amycus could go for a very classical wizarding fashion, pointy shoes included.

Harry [as Ron and Hermione] was arriving directly from Gringotts, and he should have been so filthy!

The common room was possibly filled with bookcases, tables, and chairs. I was able to put in only a few, otherwise the characters would have to space to move.
Again, I'm so happy to have produced so much squeee!
