Osaka bounces through the hallway, partially because she can mostly remember how to get places these days and mostly because she's hoping to talk to people. She's been missing her close-knit group of friends from Tokyo. So she's thrilled when she sees the door to Ravenclaw open again. She pokes her head inside and smiles happily at a familiar face. "Ed-san! How are you?"
"I understand. I guess it's like if you're trying to draw something but too many people are watching you so you mess up. I always mess up even when nobody's watching, though, since I've never been very good at drawing."
She smiles in amusement. "I don't think you have to, but a lot of people like to. You're only a little older than my best friend! She's a prodigy. Are you a prodigy too?"
"Yeah, it is like that. And your circles have to be made a certain way, but the more you practice the easier it is. You probably just need to practice drawing." Al gave her an encouraging smile. "I'm glad I don't have to drink. Some of these people seem to like it a little too much."
A prodigy? He didn't think he was a prodigy at all. He was pretty smart, and he'd learned a lot of Alchemy for a fourteen year old, but he'd had to work pretty hard to learn it. "I don't think so. My brother's kind of a prodigy, though. Is your friend here with you?"
"People can be funny when they're drunk, though. Sometimes they tell interesting stories. Kurosawa-sensei told us all about sex two summers ago while she was drunk, and I think it was one of the most educational experiences of my life. I don't think I'd like to drink too much myself, though. It smells funny."
"Oh. Now I know two prodigies, then." She beams. "No, Chiyo-chan's in a special university in America for prodigies. I'm mostly here because I want to learn to be a bodyguard so I can protect her from kidnappers. My friend Gogo-san said she'd teach me."
