Anya hurried up the stairs and past the Great Hall. She was supposed to meet Emily in classroom seven so they could get it ready for the first meeting of the Dead Girls Club, but she had lost track of time. Books and wand in hand, she walked quickly into the classroom.

She turned to the books again to find how one made sure the dye was more evenly applied, and at the same time she picked out a thin volume called Closed Doors: A Guide to Keep A Secret A Secret and Mysteries Mysterious and held it up so that Anya could see it. "Perhaps this could help us?" She flipped through the pages. "It says that we need something to stand guard for us. That is, something that the girls can say the password to. A painting, or a statue."

She came over to peek over Emily's shoulder at the book. "There is a statue not too far from the door. That would probably work. I think it's even a statue of a woman, which would be appropriate."

"Then perhaps I ought to frame it?" suggested Emily with a faint grin. She left the Closed Doors book to Anya and concentrated on the paragraph on dyeing. "Oh, this is where it went wrong..." She ignored the stained curtain and went for the other one, this time murmuring the incantation while moving her wand in slow, sweeping strokes over the fabric instead of merely pointing it. The curtain slowly went from white to light pink to a rather lovely shade of red. Sure it was a tad uneven in places, but still a vast improvement from her last try. Emily made a pirouette in utter delight. "Yes!"
She looked up from her success. "That would be just perfect! So we need a password now. Something simple, easy to remember both for the statue and for us, but still something that no one will be able to guess." She thought about it for a moment or two and then picked the first word that popped into her head. "Like... 'Hopscotch'."
