The owl and its letter found Terry in the lab. Charms and Potions were the only two classes in which he'd been showing any profeciency. And he paid more attention in Potions, because at the base of it, it was chemistry. And chemistry and forensic science went hand in hand. Of course it didn't hurt that his 'gold stars' for doing well in Potions were more interesting than what the ordinary student might get
