I understand that the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts has recently been vacated. I would like to request that I vacate my current position (Professor of Transfiguration) and take over teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts, as I am far more qualified for that position than for my current one. Furthermore, I believe that Minerva McGonagall would make an eminently qualified replacement for me as Transfiguration Professor.
To aid in your decision, I am enclosing an updated version of my curriculum vitae. Please let me know if you would like any further documentation or recommendations from my peers.
