((I'm going to bed right after replying to this. I shall have to continue at a saner hour. =) ))

Emily entered the library and immidiately her mouth fell open in surprise. She had never seen anything like this before. She had always thought that Elder Gutknecht's collection of books were very impressive, but these... They also seemed to be in an impeccable order, something that dear Elder Gutknecht rarely bothered with.

To her immense relief she spotted Anya, looking similarly confused, almost right away. Emily went up to her and smiled as a way of greeting. "Hello Anya! Are you as surprised at the vastness of this place as I am?"

"As a matter of fact, I managed to purchase one not too long ago." Emily produced a wand from the folds of her dress and held it in an unused grip. "It's second-hand, but it works just fine. Sparks came out of it." Emily quirked a dry smile. "Oak tree. Quite fitting, I suppose."

"Oh good! I'm still not used to carrying a wand with me. I keep forgetting it in my room and having to go back for it." Anya patted her wand where it rested her pocket. "My wand is made from teak. I had a very nice teak table once. Do you prefer oak?"

"I was buried underneath an oak tree. It kept me hidden for a long time. They are all right, I suppose." Emily shrugged, her smile remaining on her face. She turned her attention to the bookshelves. "Perhaps we ought to begin? We have a lot of work to do."
