Augh! After the days-long power outage and then the moving nightmare, this now??? *big, big hugs*
Well, that answers where you were (or weren't!) last night. I (and Sirius ;) ) hope you work something out soon...and then win a nice tropical vacation or something (not because I want you to leave us again, but damn, you deserve some time off).
I imagine it's not a good idea to write slash in the library, huh? :P
Not the best idea at all - in between the kids hanging around and the hour time limit at the local branch and I'm not quite sure how to get the longer time limits at the main branch.
But yes, one big huge suck. And I tried checking my roommate's computer and it doesn't seem to be working with my monitor (the old one I've been using when mine gave up a ghost about a month before the move) so I'll wait till she gets home cause her CRT unit is HUGE and needs two people to handle.
Hopefully it'll all work out a bit. And I'm looking at what I can afford to buy to fix my computer if there's no chance that my mother will step up to the plate and help out. She's been promising me one for 5 years. And I ended up rebuilding the one I have now, out of this scrap of junk that was outdated when she gave it to me.
More arrgh.
And yeah, I'd thought I -was- having my vacation during this 4th of July long weekend, so I could crack to it after, and catch up on bills etc, etc, etc and see about DSL and buying groceries online and all those other
PS: I'm not sure if I'll be around for the Prefect Elections. I withdrew Terry and submitted James. If Sirius (or Remus for that matter) want to run a campaign for him y'all both feel free.
I hope you have an nice miracle moment tonight with the roomie's computer and then your mom comes through for you. Sirius will be patiently waiting (well, as patiently as a man in the middle of a hand job can wait! XD ) for James's return and will gladly campaign for him for Prefect. Meanwhile, take it easy to the greatest extent possible. :)
Could it be that he embarrasses easily? Cause Blair was likely to give him a book on Kundalini Self Massage, depending on how the conversation with Adam continued.
Back in the dark days of dialup, a lightning storm fried a brand-new modem of mine, only a week-10 days old. On a Sunday, and I wasn't confident enough to get in the guts of the 'puter myself then, I needed a techie, dammit! I feel your pain, truly. *kicks Terry-mun's computer in effigy*
