Very well, then. Time to get to work.

She turned to Claire as she entered. "Put Agnes on that bed there," she said, indicating the bed closest to the door. "Then boil water. In a big bowl." She thought about the youth of today. "And don't use magic to do it. You've been busy enough with all that wand wavin ( Read more... )

JD quietly walked over to the bed and climbed in, putting the covers over his head. All that could be heard was a small and terrified "eep!"

She walked over to the quivering mass of sheets and tore them off him. "What happened?" She hoped it was a cowering curse. Because if not, she was going to get very annoyed very quickly.

JD cowered fearfully from the imposing woman. "Light! A big flash and thennn...the evil man tried to kill me!" he shouted turning a a large, horrified eye on Claire.

She placed Agnes down. 'Oh it is okay, I'm not sure I could boil water magically.' She looked over at JD, her eyes sad. While boiling the water she wished it could all just be so much simpler. 'Ehm..Miss... would it be too much to ask for a drink of water? Just, I'm scared of dehydrating or something.'

Hmmph. Water. Granny wasn't completely sure, but she reckoned the gel had to take some sort of potion or else the enchantment would wear off. Potions, she thought with scorn. That ain't magic. That's just...cookin'!

"Oh, far be it from me to prevent a poor little woman a drink of water. And one with child, too. Oh, deary me, yes. Of course, water."

'Thanks Miss,' she said, gulping down the water. She genuinely was thirsty, she had another 15 minutes of the potion left before she'd need some more. It was getting free to take some that would be the next problem.

She handed over the boiling water. 'Anything else I can do to help?'

She didn't take the water. "Get two cloths. Wet them. Wring them out. Then give them to me."

The Doctor had been standing near the doorway, waiting. "Is that all of them, then?" he asked, making his presence known. "Anything I can do to help?"

'Hey Doctor. Look thanks! For like Everything.' She blushed. 'Seems we both have trouble following us.

"Yeah, got a habit of that. Never really get used to it." He holds in a sigh. "You all right, though? The baby and you and, well, everyone else?"

There were only two others hurt. JD and Gogo. Gogo left as soon as she could stand; JD's over there *she pointed* screaming about a big man trying to kill him. *she shrugs*. I'm okay though, at least I think. Not that anyone has bother to check.

Agnes lies on the bed limply, seemingly oblivious to the commotion around her. Her hair sticks to her clammy skin as she remains out of it. Deep in her subconcious half-baked images of a large man and a blonde girl and warnings of danger flew around, not knowing their meaning, Agnes drifted off into the inky blackness.

Not much to do but wait. And watch to make sure nothing goes wrong. Still no sign of Him, though. Or Her for that matter. Granny considered. There were spells and potions that would pull Agnes out of whatever she was in, and Granny suspected that is what the school would like for her to do. But Granny knew. She knew that pulling someone out of anything is bad. Unless it's a fire. She nodded to herself and then sat. And waited.

Gogo stood near the centre of the room, still looking wary. The knife had disappeared back into whatever hidden pocket or holster of her schoolgirl's uniform that it had come from and her hands were clasped neatly behind her back.

"What do you want me to do?" she said, sounding sullen.

Ah, yes. Her. Hit in the back, as I recall. That'll need popped for her. "Yes, you can come here and rest in this bed." Granny walked over to Gogo to help her over to the bed. As she reached the girl, however, her arm shot out at an alarming speed and pressed into her spine three times, each time producing a loud CRACK.

Gogo jumped back. Once again, her hand shot to a concealed knife - but with some difficulty Gogo stopped herself from drawing it. The woman was fast.

"Who are you?" It might have been possible to detect an inkling of respect in her voice.

"My name is Esmerelda Weatherwax," she said. "You, however, will call me Mistress Weatherwax."

She gave Gogo a look. "How's your back now?"
