As promised, Ryuuji was seated in the back of the library with the copy of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis in front of him after lunch. He'd agreed to meet Alucard at one o'clock, so he'd got there around twelve-thirty, used the magic words of Klaatu, Barada, Nicto to open it, and then - being a good, good boy or trying to, at least, which wasn't always the same thing where he was concerned - had picked up a novel and started to read that instead while waiting for Alucard.
There wasn't as much light as Ryuuji usually liked, but that was a side-effect of being tucked away at the back of the library after all, hidden behind rows of bookshelves and surrounded by dusty tomes. Oh well, at least they'd have plenty of privacy and hopefully not much of a chance of any random idiot coming by to summon up 'deadites'.
Ryuuji had pulled up a chair next to his for Alucard to sit in when he'd arrived, and draped his discarded school robes on the other end of the table. True to his promise, he had smuggled a sword into the library, just in case, and was now comfortably reading "The King Must Die", hilt of the sword propped against his thigh as he leaned the chair back to balance on its two back legs.
