Arriving after the smoke had cleared, Yukimura only saw a very pleased Kaga. A smile curved his lips, a laugh beginning as he said, "It is good to see you, Takeshi. All seems well, my good friend."
"Celebration? Ah, wonderful." It took a moment for him to calculate the date, to figure what Kaga would have been celebrating in the first place. "Ah, your birthday. Congratulations. Come, I'll get you a drink," he said as he held out his hand. He was sure Kuronue would allow him a drink with Takeshi without the looks he sometimes got for it.
Albus felt it would be a good day to step out of his office's musty confines and take the air.
He did not know it was Kaga's birthday. He knew only that it was a fabulous American Muggle holiday, celebrated also by his wizardly Mattachine colleagues over the water. And it had long pleased him to celebrate it too, in his own quiet way.
As a Gryffindor, he had access to the common room as well. He was sitting in a corner, knitting rainbow scarves, when Kaga emerged from the Floo.
He wagged the rainbow scarf at him by way of greeting.
Clyde had an advantage over many recent arrivals at Hogwarts; he was no stranger to the unusual. Still, a man stepping out of a fireplace was a new sight.
"Is that something just you can do, or can anyone learn that?"
Megan dropped the magazine she had been reading in surprise at the sudden noise, but instead of flipping out and teleporting away or attacking the noise or anything embarrassing like that, she picked up the magazine and laughed a little nervously. The guy was only singing, after all.
"Nice entrance," she said. "Eight out of ten. Needs more sparkles." She waggled her fingers in emphasis.
She rolled her eyes. "I hang around with people who wear capes. If Magneto isn't too old to wear his outfit, you're not too old to wear shiny clothes." Not that she'd tell Magneto that. Even if he was theoretically a good guy now, he was still scary.
"Ever considered a strobe light? Or theme music? I bet that'd bump it up to a ten. Nine, at least."
