"A girl? Truly? Have you had some of Mello's chocolates then?" Yukimura said, coming up behind Kurama on silent tread, even though he wore geta today. The geta seemed out of place, though, with the rest of his outfit: jeans, a button-up flowered shirt in the best of Hawaiian traditions, and a red belt holding his sword at his side. "Or, is there something I should know?"

"The three of you?" Yukimura echoed. He was aware of Kuronue's fantasies about Kurama from time to time; it was almost impossible not to be with their connection. He was somewhat surprised that Kurama still harbored such about him. "I didn't think you and the peddler had it to be interested in me." And, he had not ever really even considered the peddler as a partner of that sort.

Kurama shrugged nonchalantly. "It's a possibility. I certainly don't find you unappealing, ans while Kusuriyuri doesn't go looking for other partners, I know he isn't against it, if it were you or Kuronue." He gave the samurai a winning smile. "And I definitely know Kuronue wouldn't mind." hell, all he had to do was say Yukimura's name suggestively and watch Kuro's imagination take over from there.

"So, I am to be attracted by 'not unappealing' and 'not against' and the fact that Kuronue enjoys seeing me naked?" Yukimura asked, his eyebrow arched, his tone dry. "I was under the impression that kitsune were supposed to be more winning than that. That they were sought after. Perhaps it isn't for their ability to charm."

"Even ants will drown in honey," Kurama said diplomatically, but there was mischief in his eyes. Of course Yukimura was baiting him, that was easy to spot. "If I thought the great Sanada Yukimura could be swayed so easily with just a little bit of flattery, I doubt I would be doing you any great service."

"You wish to sway me with so faint an argument?" Yukimura asked archly. "You think it takes more than a little bit of flattery, yet you put in no effort? And you think I would have 'all three of us' just because you say I may?" He crossed his arms over his chest. "You have yet to show me why I should, nor have you convinced me that I'd want to."

Kurama pouted at him theatrically, looking all the more pathetic under the circumstances of this cruel and unusual party. "Mou, Yuki, you say that like you wouldn't want to even if I did tell you how gorgeous you are," he said, the plaintive, kicked puppy look on his face adding to the tortured atmosphere. "Is the thought really that repulsive?"

"I was under the impression that you did not desire me after such a fashion," Yukimura admitted. "That something about me repulsed you with that regard. You have kept your distance since the peddler tamed you." Moreso since Kuronue arrived, really. "I would think the burden would be on you to convince me this is something you desire as opposed to wanting to fulfill Kuronue's fantasies, though the gain of that is quite delightful."

Kurama, blinked, and then realized he was right. "Oh. Gods, I hadn't meant to avoid you, really," he said, then stopped himself. "No, I tell a lie. When Kusu came, I was too distracted by him to think much of anyone else. And when Kuronue got here..." he pulled a face, embarrassed by how muddled and stupid his emotions had been about things. "I'll admit I was jealous of you, though I don't have any right or reason to be."

He thought for a moment. "But, despite the fact that I know Kuronue's head would explode, I still have to admit I've always had a bit of a crush on you," he smiled a little crookedly. "You're attractive, you're intelligent, and funny, and you don't take any bullshit, especially if it's coming from stupid foxes."

"So, between having 'bit of a crush,' being jealous and distracted, you have now come to the point where you can admit to all because your peddler has made you face reality?" He took a step closer to Kurama. "Just how much of your 'bit of a crush' is influenced by Kuronue? How much of it is truly for me?"

"Kuro's had a pretty sharp influence in reminding me of how desirable you are," Kurama said, putting his head to one side. "Though in my defense, I thought you were desirable as soon as I'd met you. I very much doubt you suddenly become any less desirable if Kuronue hadn't come here, or didn't mention anything to me about his fantasies."

"So, had Kuronue not come, then you would have continued to avoid me in favor of the peddler, then?" Yukimura asked, tilting his head the other way. Whether the gesture was deliberate or unconscious was debatable. "Except when you needed some excuse to fight and Mello was unavailable?"

"Kusuriyuri is my mate," he pointed out, but it was a thin excuse. "Though, no, I probably wouldn't have avoided you as much. And as long as we're dealing with the hypothetical, despite how much fun it is, I'd rather not only fight with you. A single-purpose friendship isn't one I'd like to have with you, in any case."

"So, you'd rather have another single purpose relationship with me, then? Or is it that you'd rather I entertained you with my wit and not taking any of your bullshit?" Yukimura asked. "Or do you only want me to fulfill Kuronue's fantasies?"

Kurama blinked. "None of those, isn't that what I said? I want to have a friendship with you that isn't hindered by me having my head up my ass, like it has been. Whether or not any fantasies are fulfilled is peripheral. I find you attractive, yes, and that would be fun, but I really, honestly like you, Yukimura." he spread his hands. "I enjoy being around you. I hope you'd enjoy being around me."

Yukimura's arms relaxed to his sides. "Now, your words are beginning to reach me," he teased. "I do enjoy your company, Kurama. Rest easy about that."
