Amy didn't usually go near the Popcorn room; once she'd grasped the meaning behind it, it made her uneasy and she preferred to avoid it entirely. But sometimes it really was the shortest way...
...which meant that when she did go past it, there was someone just outside, looking a bit overwhelmed.
"Um, hello." She smiled, trying to be reassuring. "You all right?"
Robin was still trying to figure out which way to go to find his rooms, some hot water and some good brown soap, so he was surprised by the pretty redhead. Surprised and pleased, though he would have been better pleased to meet her un-buttered.
"Aye, my lady, I thank you. I am only trying to..." He looked up the corridor and down in some confusion. "I begin to wonder if I will ever find my way about again. And how in the world I managed the first time," he added with a laugh.
"Forgive my appearance, if you will. I am Robin of Loxley, and you are?"
"Amy Pond." She started to offer her hand, then realized that she wasn't terribly keen on being smeared with butter and smiled weakly. "It is a bit confusing. But it's just one place. That helps, doesn't it?"
Robin would not touch a lady while covered in butter. He held up both hands with a smile and a shake of the head, bowing instead. "I am honored, my lady Amy Pond. And it does indeed help, though your kindness in asking helps yet more."
He sighed, looking about the corridor once more. "Can you point me to Slytherin House?" Robin returned his regard to the pretty redhead and gave her his most disarming smile. He did have a weakness for redheads, even after all this time. "And when I have done, will you allow me to return your kindness? A drink, perhaps; a toast to new friendships? Or if that does not appeal, what you will?"
This was, in fact, the first time Lenneth passed by the popcorn room. And she was more than a little surprised by the buttered man. This takes 'buttering up' to a different level entirely. If she'd been wearing her blue town dress today, she's shed the jacket of it and offer it to him to wipe off at least a bit of the butter. But alas, only armor. And that's no good for removing butter.
"Not quite an entrance many would hope to make." She commented, moving to stand several feet away. Sorry Robin, you're buttery and she doesn't want to slip on any that's on the floor around you.
Robin winced. "Indeed it would not have been my first choice. Forgive the mess, my lady." He bowed as best he could. "Robin of Loxley at your service."
"Messes can be cleaned. It's a honor to meet you, Robin of Loxley. I am Lenneth Valkyrie." She bowed her head slightly in turn. Ah, she did wish she had something to give him to clean a little.
"If you'd like, I can show you to the nearest bathroom so you can wipe off at least a bit of the butter. It can't be terrible comfortable, covered in it."
Robin attempted to wipe his face on his sleeve without notable success. "You have my thanks, my lady Valkyrie. I have rooms somewhere, if I can but find them."
He looked at her more carefully. "And are you truly a Valkyrie of legend?" Robin laughed at himself a bit. "In another place that question would make me sound a fool indeed, but well I know that here such things are at least possible."
