Dean didn't even remember passing out, or falling asleep. In fact, there was a lot he didn't remember. Why he was in a room surrounded by popcorn and covered in butter might have been at the top of the list, but there was a rather large blank spot in his memory that was worrying him

In the meantime, he passed by the popcorn room every day, hoping that he'd catch a familiar sight, or more likely, a familiar bellow.
His morning round was no different than any other, and he walked past with a mug of coffee in one hand. Sam froze at the voice, relief sweeping over him like a wave. He pushed the door open and grinned at his brother before enveloping him in a crushing hug.
"Hey Dean."

"Sammy?" He hugged him back tightly, voice catching in his throat.

"Welcome back, dude. It's okay if you don't remember, this place kinda does that to some people. Hey, we gotta tell Cas you're here too." Sam knew he was rambling, but he couldn't seem to stop it. Dean was back. He was safe. That was all that really mattered.

He opened his mouth to ask but all the questions seemed to want to leave his mouth at once, so what came out instead was a strangled jumble of unintelligible syllables.

He tore into the candy with gusto and waggled his eyebrows. Yes, he was supposed to be dead, but it'd be fun to make the chucklehead wonder for a little while at least.

She held up a finger. " I'll go get, Sam." she smiled to him. " He is going to be so happy to see you. He about drank himself stupid because you were gone ya know."
