"A knowledge of history is useful?" Yukimura asked, his voice rippling with amusement as he brushed his hair back. He was dressed normally, for him, his sword on his hip. "I had found it to be more an intellectual exercise than a practical one."

"Well, if you're time traveling, or dealing with alien cultures similar to historic ones, it's very helpful for blending in." Jim studied the man. "For exampled, I'd say... feudal Japan, perhaps? Samurais and the like? With other influences, of course."

Yukimura looked down at his clothing and laughed. "Late feudal, four years after the Battle of Sekigahara," he replied. "Though, other influences?" He was curious as to what 'other influences' are in his outfit.

"Just general other. Individual style, maybe? It doesn't look like the historical records, quite, though if this isn't Earth, it wouldn't."

"The best drinks are in the sickbay?" La Fee Verte laughed, a rich, seductive sound. "You need to visit some better establishments."

"Well, Dr. McCoy has a fairly large stash of 'medical' drinks, and he's the only one who'll share with me." He smiled at the woman charmingly; he encountered green beauties on a fairly regular basis. "Might I request your name?"

"Ah, a man who appreciate variety and isn't afraid to try something unusual." She gave him a knowing smile and extended a hand. "I'm La Fee Verte, dearie. I have an establishment here."

"What's the name? I'll have to make sure to stop by some time."

"Define 'largely'."

[capt_jim_kirk]

"Well there was one incident, where my worst nature became a separate person, and I-it tried to forced itself on Yeoman Rand. She fought it off, thank god, and we fixed the transporter, so it can't ever happen again, but I feel a bit guilty."

"I get the feeling that's supposed to be cliched, but damned if I ever remember that happening to me in my travels."

"Well, we'd never heard of it happening before, and it hasn't since, as far as I know."

Suddenly Aigis is glad she's a robot.

"Seducing women in five minutes does not sound like an admirable trait."

"Well, it can be useful at times," he replies. "For example if your captor has a beautiful daughter, or crazy girlfriend, or female android, it can be helpful in attempting to escape."

Aigis let the tips of her fingers retract to reveal gun barrels. "I take offense to that last one."

Jim raises his hands, the universal signal for hey, back off. "I didn't say I was going to bother you or anything. Let's make a deal; you promise not to kidnap me, and I promise not to flirt with you."

"Five minutes, huh. Care to put that to the test?" Dawnstar crossed her arms over her chest and scowled.

"Do you want me to?"

"It was your boast," she pointed out. "I simply call it into question."

"Just mentioning some of my achievements. I'm not claiming to have a hundred percent success rate. Some of them pick Spock."
