Turlough, to his credit, actually looked a bit outraged. "NO! Did you even read it? If that's what I think it is, that's your Christmas present."

Hagrid was still uncertain. Apprehensively, he opened the scroll and read its contents.

When he was finished, he stood there, slack-jawed, unsure how to respond. "Oh, Turlough," he breathed. "Yeh shouldn'ta done tha'. I mean... you're *good* at bein' the groundskeeper."

Hagrid took pity on Turlough. "I didn' say I didn' like it," he hastened to say. "I jus'... didn' expect it is all." Then, on impulse, eyes glistening with tears, he reached to envelop Turlough in a bear hug.
