Shiina Mikado, Misha to her friends, BOUNCED into the room and audibly ZOOMED for the application form. She looked at it, frowned at some of the questions, then smiled, took a pencil with a frog-shaped eraser, and began filling out the application.

Wow, this is a really long form... Misha's confused... )

skwisgaar skwigelf, application, meg murry, qanonreip, youko kurama

((Hi! We're guessing you're new? Welcome. This app doesn't give us much to work with, I'm afraid, which is why you're not getting responses yet. An app like the one I'm linking here is more our speed. While we don't have length/content requirements per se, you probably won't get much RP unless we have more to go on. ))

(OOC: Hmmn. I'm not really sure what else to add in the application itself, but once I get an idea...

Yes, I'm new. Also responsible for Keenan Caine, BTW.)

Stumbling slightly, Kurama returned to the sorting room because his player loves to hurt him. The last applicant had been a little tough to wrap his brain around so he'd gone to the greenhouses to smoke the pain away. An ounce of pot and a lot of staring at the wall later, he was again in the sorting room. It was the mention of cookies that summoned the hungry fox-demon from his walking stupor, and now he stood over Misha, all seven feet of him towering in a kind of distracted way.

"Cookies would be awesome," he said, voice just as mild as you please. "You should bake them yesterday." The odd grammar was only a temporary speech impediment.

"Hehe~" she says, with a grin. "Funny you should mention that..."

She takes out a little tin emblazoned with Hello Kitty ludicrously cute mascots and clearly labeled in Japanese with a yellow sticky note: "Chocolate Chip Cookies (For Shiichan and Hiichan)." Underneath that was written in very precise kanji print, "Delicious, Misha, but we can't eat them all; bring some to that new school you're applying to. - Shizune I."

"Sample, sample?"

(OOC: The Japanese dealy is me bullshitting past the language barrier, don't mind me.)

Duly impressed, Kurama bent to look at the available cookies. After a moment, he picked one that seemed to have a substantial amount of chocolate chips. Politeness (the kind only very inebriated demons people have) kept him from just taking it, so he pointed.

That one there, please."

((OOC: All good, all good. The language thing is pretty much lampshaded 99% of the time, anyway.

Edit for HTML FAIL.))

She immediately reads your body language and hands you not one, but TWO 2 1/2' diameter cookies, including the specific one you pointed at, with a grin.

((OOC: I thought I may as well have fun lampshading it. Also HTML WHY DO YOU FAIL SO HARD.))

The applicant looked about 50 years too young for Skwisgaar's taste, so his interest was luckily much less lecherous than usual.

"Cookies, eh? Cans yous bakes some for de entire school one day?" the Swede wanted to know. He and A were in the midst of planning a schoolwide event, hosted by Hufflepuff, and someone guaranteed to provide cookies would be a help.

"Uhhhm..." she thinks about it for a second, then says, "I have a really really good recipe and I'm good at teaching people how to cook stuff, so if I had enough help, yeah I could do it for the whole school~!"

As she speaks, she unconsciously makes sloppy but deliberate gestures at you. Japanese Sign Language?

She laughs long, loud, and earsplitting. "WAHAHAHA! I'd love to help~!"

A thought occured to her.

"Hey, is there a student council here~?"

Meg stuck her head into the sorting room, and read what there was of the application, eyeing the girl, who seemed to be around her age, with some curiosity.

Was sign language hard to learn?" she asked.

"Easier than speaking," she says, shrinking a little out of embarrasment. "I can't... you know when you try'n catch something, but it's all slippery and it goes zip out of your hands? That's me with words. The signs for the same thoughts have handholds, you know?"

Meg nodded. "I get that," she said. "Especially since I was never good at English. Math I understand, but my teachers didn't like that I could figure out their problems in ways that they didn't teach. But sign language does sound like fun to learn, especially if you actually have someone to practice it with."

She nods vigorously. "Yupyup~ <3 ! That's why I got along so well with Shiichan at my old school, and how I got her together with Hiichan, and... well, it was fun!"

She blinks. "Is there a JSL club here? Cuz I could teach people... um..." she scratches her head. "...hehehe... well if I was better at speaking I could..."
