Cooking magazines had become something of a hobby to River of late. A had mentioned not too long ago handing out a meal again in the Great Hall, and one of the magazines she'd purloined from the old stacks in the library had yielded a recipe for 'cucumber sandwiches' and entertaining to plan around the eating of said snacks. Where there's a reception, especially with free food, the Centauri Ambassador will always find his way there. He walked the length of the table, observing the foods that were offered and the various people milling about the Great Hall. Londo paused at the head of the table, giving a warm smile to the young woman who seemed to be hosting the reception.

"Quite a remarkable reception, my dear lady." He gave a courtly little bow, "Londo Mollari of the Centauri Republic, at your service. You are the one responsible for such a feast?"

River returned a near-perfect curtsy. "River Tam, at yours," she replied adopting the kind of mannerisms Lando's thoughts told her were appropriate. "And I am responsible only in part. A is my partner-in-crime." She smiled a little at that, gesturing to her boyfriend. "We like to cook together, and cooking to share is rather gratifying."

Young love. Londo could see it in the looks that passed between the young woman and the young man nearby. He smiled wistfully. The trials of politically engineered marriages may have turned him cynical, but he remembered what it was like to be young, and in love.

"And we are most fortunate that you have decided to share it with us, my dear lady. Tell me, what are these?" He inquired, gesturing at the small sandwiches. He had attempted to learn as much as he could about human food during his time on Earth, but did not recognize everything on the tables.
