Seeing the sign, Rika figures that she doesn't have to ask permission to take a snack or pay for it, so she takes a piece of zucchini bread from the table.

"Is Light the son of Soichiro Yagami?" she asks, looking up at A, before taking a bite from the bread.

"It rained enough back where I was from, we even got some storms unseasonably, but I've seen enough sunny days to become bored with them," which is longer than anyone would think.

"Oh, but it is so lovely to see sun on flowers, and on ripening fruit!"

"I am normally too busy in my world to watch the flowers and fruit in the sun. I'm looking out for the consequences of actions taken, so I wouldn't want to miss why a person started avoiding their friends just to admire a plants growth." Preventing her friends deaths is more important to Rika than preventing her own stopping for the flowers. The time she has to solve her own murder and deal with her friends is not enough for that on her free time.
