owls to Mystina and to Kurama, because it sucks to be Lezard

Lezard's gray cat familiar refused to carry any more messages after trotting back and forth between Lezard and George Weasley. The aggrieved young mage teleported a startled owl out of the school Owlery and pressed it into service.

Kurama considered the note for a long, long time.

Lezard had suddenly, in under one hundred words, completely broken every record held for 'Strangest person I've ever met' in Kurama's book of acquantances. Because, really. On top of everything else, radishes?

Well, it would be rude not to return the note (no matter how much he would like to put the note on the compost pile and hide from Lezard for a long while) so he composed a short reply.

Lezard:

The tea experiment is coming along nicely, thank you again for your help. As for Jibbering Humdingers and Crumple-Horned Snorcacks, are you certain those are real or did someone pluck the names out of a children's book? I can't recall hearing of any plant using that name.

On the subject of radishes, it depends entirely on the woman in question.

Professor Kurama:

The woman in question is fond of radishes, mistletoe, Jibbering Humdingers, and Crumple-Horned Snorcacks, or so I am told. It is possible that I am misinformed. That would be highly unfortunate for everyone.

Lezard:
Why are you asking me?
I suggest mistletoe as an opening gift and the radishes just after. I'll look around and see if I can find anything on Humdingers and Snorcacks.

Professor Kurama:

I trust your expertise in herbology. Mistletoe and radishes I can easily obtain by my usual means of obtaining items. I would not wish to offend the lady in the event that radishes have some obscene significance of which I have been unaware.

I'm quite grateful that you are looking into this Humdinger and Snorcack matter. Please know that if I can be of reciprocal assistance in some other matter, I'll be glad to assist. Reciprocally.
