The perversion of monsters is evident. To call a creature of darkness Light, and to give her an appearance to match that name, such that heroes must yearn to be united with her even as they know she opposes all that they defend.
"LIGHT," repeats the smitten warrior-king. "I LIKE IT."

It is the Question that gives Beowulf's life inexplicable meaning. It is the Question he will answer routinely even when unasked. It is the Question that he lay awake contemplating through the cold winter nights of his boyhood, the wind's howl about the eaves posing the world's challenge to him. What is your name?
He would emblazon it upon the heavens, and plow it into the earth. History would record his name. His song would be sung until the end of time, forged by mighty deeds and the mastery of monsters. This he decided long ago.
"I AM BEOWULF!" he roars to the slender and comely monster-maiden before him.
As an afterthought, he adds, "AND YOU ARE KIRA LIGHT." Tastes great, less filling.
