La Fee Verte was optimistic.

Saint Patrick's Day was just around the corner. A whole holiday, just for drinking! With an emphasis on green, at that. She commandeered a small army of house elves to give the Little Green Apple a thorough top-to-bottom cleaning, made sure to restock all the shisha flavors, scrawled a variety of verdant-hued drink

"Usually, one does not hear karaoke in Hungarian. Unless one is in Hungary."

He waited until she was done singing to say this, obviously, anything else would be rather impolite. As it is, he looks rather uncomfortable. He found the Little Green Apple mostly by accident, and is very glad that it is not too crowded. He is not the sort that fits in, hanging around in bars.

Stepping easily off the little stage, she gave him a warm smile. "But darling, the translation just isn't as romantic. I haven't met you before, have I? But we must remedy that! I am La Fee Verte. I welcome you to the Little Green Apple."

L doesn't exactly beam back, but he wouldn't. He does take another few steps into the room.

"La Fee Verte. Absinthe. I am Ryuuzaki."

"It is truly a joy to meet someone as clearly well-educated as he is handsome." She winked, offering a gloved hand. "Might I interest you in a glass of my namesake?"

Awesome, karaoke!

Konata fiddled with the machine for a second before finding a good anime song, which she began singing with gusto.

La Fee Verte applauded heartily.

"That's the spirit! Would you like a drink before your next number?"

"All right! I have to scroll a bit anyways, there's so many songs, I have to weed through it to find the good songs."

Good, as in anime. Or sentai. Maybe,

"Can I offer you some absinthe?"

Hey, she said that to everyone.

Ayame had, unfortunately, had little experiance so far with the Little Green Apple. And after its proprietress had been so charming at his Sorting, too! This was a situation that he would have to do something about, he decided, as he stepped into the Slytherin common room and was met with the distinctive sounds of karaoke.

He took a seat, watching with amusement as Konata monopolized the karaoke machine. Eventually, he'd have to catch the hostess's eye, but he was in no hurry.

It was turning into an enjoyable evening indeed! La Fee Verte sidled up to her latest guest.

"So tell me, my dear, what can I offer you?"

"Something festive, I think," he said, smiling slowly at her. "Why don't you choose something appropriate for me?"
