Wishbone was dressed up for the occasion. As Robin Hood specifically. He even had a rose ready for his fair maiden.

((Drive-by post, not ignoring Gustav but Tomo interacting with Wishbone is waaay overdue. Going to assume Tomo wanders off before Kathryn appears, that okay?))

For the hell of it (and because it looked awesome on her), Tomo came into the Great Hall wearing the purple kimono Ayame had made her as a Sorting bribe, carrying a box of chocolates that was small enough to hide in one of the sleeves in case her matchup was lame and not worth the White Day chocolate.

Her match-up was some guy she'd never heard of and definitely not Wishbone, but not even Tomo was a match for the concentrated adorable that was Wishbone-as-Robin-Hood. She knelt down beside the dog. "Hey, sidekick! Lookin' good!"

Honestly, Phoenix didn't know what to expect. Good thing too, this is Hogwarts.

Upon discovering the signups, Pearl made a point of getting to the Great Hall early. When she saw the pairing list, she was disappointed; she didn't recognize the name, but it wasn't Mystic Maya, and that was all that mattered.

Maya wasn't here yet, but someone had to keep Phoenix in line. What would she tell her cousin if she showed up only to find that her special someone had run off with someone else?

So she was on stakeout, not far away, hiding behind the buffet table and peeking around the bowls and plates of food. It might have been adequate cover, but from time to time one might see a familiar pair of hair loops popping up.

Soichiro was perfectly fine alone. He had been writing a letter to Sachiko (not that she would ever read it, but it gave him some mild comfort).

Then a house elf barges in and threatens to zap him with a cattle prod if he did not proceed to the Great Hall posthaste.

He is not stupid enough to tempt fate by getting zapped, so he obeyed the elf and found himself utterly bewildered in the Great Hall.

Soichiro was not the only person befuddled to find himself there. Billy had singed somebody else up, then completely forgotten about the whole thing. So when he saw his name, he figured that it must have been some sort of mistake. The elves were taking handwriting samples now? It wouldn't surprise him. The Hat was probably collecting DNA samples from sitting on people's heads.

This guy looked like a Soichiro. Hopefully he was. If so, they could introduce themselves, spend the minimum time required making small talk to satisfy whatever orders the house elves were under, and leave.

A few minutes of observing, and Soichiro figured it out. Somehow, he got roped into a blind date. And looking at the name card across from his, he suspected a certain waterlogged cretin child.

At any rate, Soichiro sat bored at his table, looking with his shinigami eyes for anyone named Billy Brennan.

Ah, found him.

"Mr. Brennan. Did you come here of your free will or were you coerced here?"

What kind of self-respecting person is named Pickles?! Maybe it doesn't matter--all they have to do is respect Maia, after all.

She walks into the room, not in any sort of red or pink thing, but she's made an effort. Et voila. Now all she has to do is sit in a corner (because her shoes really hurt) and glower at anyone who has got a respectable name.
