Dr. Grant,

Access to those resources definitely appeals. I'm a little concerned about the risk to life and limb (well, limb, anyway. We can't die here but I don't expect there's a whole lot even wizarding medicine can do if a man-eating pegasus chomps my arm off). You might or might not know my daughter's here now, so I have a little more incentive to avoid getting maimed by magical creatures than I used to have.

Furbies don't sound too dangerous, though. Next class on Thursday, you say? Wow, it takes me back to my grad-student days. No, I take that back. I would have been lucky to get that much advance notice.

Count me in.

Dr. Silvey,

From what I can tell, this class does have a history of personal injury, but the previous instructors seemed to be more interested in what large and dangerous animals they could get ahold of, rather than the educational merit of the animals. I'm trying to avoid that.

Welcomes back to the days of doing the work that the professor is Too Important to do themselves. If you want, I can change the animal we're doing on Wednesday night, and ask you to lead the lecture Thursday morning. Would that work? I could start assigning papers for you to grade, too.

Dr. Grant
