I could help find him! Mommy always said I had a pair of lungs to scare the angels. I had no idea what that meant, but I was pretty sure it was something good.
"Maybe," I added, eyes going bigger and mouth forming an 'o', "he's been kidnapped." Pirates always had kidnapping stories. "We should check the couch. Because that's where daddy always takes his naps."

This room - the common room - was kinda scary. With its darkness and its green and silver and its occasional cobweb. Retreating closer to the open fire, Peter stuck his lip out in a pout and climbed onto a couch, folding his arms across his chest and determinately not looking at Rachel and Gabriel. Fine, they could boyfriend and girlfriend without him, he didn't need them. He was Capytan! He didn't need a girlfriend!
Where was Nathan? Peter clutched a pillow to his chest, wishing he had Albie the stuffed polar bear here. Oh, he was so going to cry if Nathan didn't show up in the next five minutes. Take that!
