Zack,

What'd I tell you? Ravenclaw for sure. Apparently that's where they put all the brain trusts. And it has an open bar - which you should feel free to share.

If you're asking me if I still want to have a date, then the answer is yes. You provide the movies and I'll bring the food. Any requests? Also, I do not share my Milk Duds or Twizlers, so if you want those, you'd better speak up now. I'm very greedy.

Rachel,

Myself and drinking don't exactly mesh. There was an ugly experience with egg nog and pure alcohol at a Christmas party. ...I don't like to talk about it.

Sounds like a planDATE. Sounds like... a date! I think. Does it? Did you have any movies in mind in particular? Other than the suggestions from our earlier conversation, at least.

Also, Skittles. And Twizzlers used as straws in orange soda. All the way. Ultimate sugar high.

Zack.

Zack,

Oh. That...actually sounds like a good story that I'll have to get out of you at some point. Over a drink. (I'm relentless, you might as well give in now.)

It is, in fact, a date. And...hm. I don't know! Something with explosions and guns and the like is a good first date movie, don't you think? I'm partial to James Bond flicks, too.

Man, I haven't used Twizzlers as straws in forever. Orange soda is definitely on the list. Now for the deal breaker question - what toppings do you like on your pizza?

Rachel,

Trust me. You really really don't have to.

ADATE,GAHExplosions? Guns? Sounds good to me. I'll figure out something with just the right amount. Of guns and explosions. ...Yes.

Twizzlers as straws are the only way to go, so far as Twizzlers go.

Pizza? Everything. Is there another way?

Zack,

Dude. Take a deep breath. Dr. Brennan isn't an alcoholic. Does she seem like the type, even remotely?

Hodgins,

She... no. Not especially.

I've heard there's an open bar in Ravenclaw. I've seen it myself. She could have. I have no idea. A talking hat told me so. She could have!

I haven't seen her yet.

Speaking of talking hats, how exactly does that thing work? I didn't detect any mechanical structure within the material, but I couldn't exactly inspect. because I was too paranoid about

Zack,

I thought you knew better than to trust strange talking hats.

Yeah, I have no idea. I asked it a few questions, but it wasn't very helpful. Maybe it's like a puppet?

Hodgins,

One would think they shouldn't have to remember such discrepancies as not trusting talking hats. ...So much for that theory.

I don't know. I didn't ask it anything. It basically informed me that Dr. Brennan was an alcoholic, I was on my way, and then sorted me into Ravenclaw. I'm not entirely sure how that all happened. But it did.

Zack,

Thanks! I've been looking forward to killing a few brain cells.

((Added several hours later, in an uneven hand like the author was looking over her shoulder for Sudden Zombie Attacks.))

P.S. Holy fucking crap zombie BABIES! Did I mention babies, of the zombie persuasion? Good call.

Steph,

I'm not sure how successful Dawn of the Dead would be in the way of... killing brain cells. I'm fairly sure drugs and alcohol would be far more successful.

That movie is one of the scariest ever. You're going to be looking over your shoulder for weeks. Not that I know by experience.

Zack,

Dude. It's just an expression. A saying. A colloquialism, if you will so says Merriam Webster's Collegiate Thesaurus. But yeah, pretty scary. And my threshold for the scary is way up there.

Steph,

...I knew that. And didn't take it in the literal fashion at all, no. But, yes, pretty scary, as far as horror movies go. At least zombie ones. I'm glad you liked it.
