It had taken Reilly a while to regroup after his Sorting. A few days of hot meals, hot baths and sleep and a healthy cash Sorting bribe from
Manticore put him in good enough shape to get himself settled with a wand (11", mahogany, dragon heartstring), a new wardrobe and a few Sorting bribes of his own.

The "gainful" in that sentence is a misnomer, but at least my employment provides us with some place to talk. I'll send my house elf out to bring you to my office at 4 pm.

My gracious thanks for your generous gift, sir. Although it was not necessary, the excellent taste that you exhibited in its selection will be most appreciated. Felicitations on your new fortunes.
Yours humbly,

Of course it was not necessary; that is why it's called a gift. I'm glad to hear it's found its way to someone who'll appreciate it properly.
Sincerely,

If I'm not in my office, I'm asleep, generally speaking. Feel free to stop by anytime. I'm already looking into some treatment options; I think magical options would be best for you, due to the speed of recovery that they allow, but I'll present them all to you and let you decide.

I shall stop in tomorrow then. Feel free to send me away if you're with a patient or engaged in something not easily set aside.

I do thank you very much for the stole--it is a beautiful thing, and I will wear it happily. I would like to speak with you again, when you wish; coming here is indeed a difficult transition, and I am afraid in my condition I am not as social as I otherwise might be. It is good to speak with someone who is not disturbed by my appearance.
sincerely,

I'm glad it's appreciated; I was reminded of your style of dress when I saw it in the shop. I quite understand your reticence, and look forward to future meetings. As to the last, I'll not insult your intelligence by saying 'not at all,' but your gracious nature and good conversation helped me adjust quite quickly. Those are what I was left remembering afterward.
Sincerely,
Sidney Reilly

I must say, I am not used any more to people who are so thoughtful. I am going soon to see if the healers here may do something to mend what remains of my face--perhaps, when I need not take such pains to hide it, we might speak again. In many ways your life sounds much like my own in recent years...you seem to have borne your hardship well, which I fear cannot be said for many of my kinsmen.
sincerely,
Lady Catelyn Stark

Sir Reilly:
Keep me apprised of your situation. My ward requires much of my time, thus planning well in advance will be necessary if we're to arrange a meeting.
I may be willing to provide a temporary cure for those unpleasant dreams, but it is not without a price.
