So it was all settled. There was coffee, and water, and alcohol, and a smart selection of Chinese takeaway organized by Ianto. There was even a little cake made of four spring rolls stacked like Lincoln logs with a red candle in the middle

Jack wandered into the Ravenclaw common room for the first time as an actual adult, last time he'd been there he was five years old and causing chaos. That was a point, when it was suitable he would have to tell Tosh that he didn't really have a son or any kids that he knew of. Key was following him, since she'd had to put up with, well nothing more than usual she felt she deserved to tag along with. And be spoilt. Jack had even gone so far as to tying a red bow onto her collar. At least her pet had tried.

Jack was looking oddly smart, then again after the morning he'd had anything looked smart, it was clear he'd made a bit more of an effort even got the house elves to clean the coat, which had needed it. It would be the first proper gathering of them all in one place and JD would be with them. That was ever so slightly worrying. Spotting Tosh he headed over.

"Not late am I?" He grinned.

"It's Torchwood, Jack. Twenty minutes late is early." She patted his lapel approvingly -- she'd noticed the cleaning -- and then leaned in to kiss him on the cheek. "And who's this charming little fluffy?" She crouched down to offer a hand to Key to sniff.

"Well, I did have to get out of bed and get ready." Jack returned the greeting with a slightly over enthusastic hug back as well as a kiss. "That would be Coyolxauhqui. But JD can't say that so she's Key." The husky gave Tosh's hand a sniff then sat infront of her expecting attention. Apparently she was just a little bit like Jack. "Would have brought the pterodactyl but it's in a mood." He laughed. "Both of them are less hassle than Owen though."

"A pleasure to meet you, Coyolxauhqui." She offered a hand to shake Key's paw (not that he'd necessarily learned that trick, but it was worth a go), and then reached to scruff behind his ears and rub the sides of his face, making cooing sounds. "Pretty girl, aren't you, yes!"

She laughs and looks up at Jack, still petting the puppy. "To say the least. Owen takes such looking after." Her eyes twinkle with mischief. "Speaking of... did you bring the little one? And shame on you for not telling me, Jack Harkness."
