Lily had not been having a good day. She hadn't had a good day in quite some time, actually, but today had been worse. The whole 'not sleeping' thing was beginning to get to her in a way even she couldn't deny; and, restless in a way that books and research couldn't seem to touch, she had spent the last hour pacing her room, going over every instant of the breakup, of the owls with Cox, missing him so much she ached.

The knock pulled her out of her thoughts, though it took her a minute to register. It...had been a while since someone had come by. It actually had been a while since she'd been out of her room at all, come to think of it. Looking pale and haggard and worn, Lily pulled open the door, her brow creasing in confusion. "JD?" Her heart dropped. Perry was hurt. "What is it? What's wrong? Is he...is everyone all right?"

JD's mouth was already open, ready to put her in her place, but as soon as the door opened, he just... couldn't. Lily was in front of him, looking terrible, she was supposed to be angry, shouting at him, or at least glaring! "I-" he swallowed, looking confused. "I, er...what's wrong?" he asked, stepping back a little.

Blinking, Lily leaned against the door frame, bewilderment evident in her face. Her heart rate slowed down considerably - if there was an emergency, JD wouldn't be asking her questions. Also, she realized with a cold, sick feeling, she was now the last person that would know if something happened to Perry.

Rubbing her hand over her face, Lily raised an eyebrow. "Er... Nothing, mate. What can I help you with?" Of course she remembered the fight via owl with Jack, but, to be honest, so much else had happened since then that she was completely confused as to why JD would be at her door.
