Closed RP for Perry and Jordan

After a brief conversation with Perry at River and Dr. Maturin's wedding, she had agreed to his request for a private talk and followed him out to the grounds, away from the crowd of people making their way to the Great Hall, taking the time to admire his ass as she did so. He always had a great ass ( Read more... )

God, she was not going to make this easy on him, was she? He laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "No, seriously." Well... "Well, maybe later. I'~~ll take a raincheck?"

In fact, now that he had her alone, this really wasn't so easy anymore. The banter had been better, and he was almost tempted to just go back to that and forget the whole thing, but... No. He needed to do this. Sighing, he looked up at her. "I, uh..." Maybe if he just got it all out at once. "I~~... realizedItotallyscrewedthepoochandshouldhavegottenbacktogetherwithyouallthosemonthsagoandnowIwantyoubackagain?" Very courageous, Perry. He winced and tried to shrug casually, watching her face carefully to gauge her reaction.

Things were normal, then suddenly she got hit with an awkwardness wave from Perry that made Newbie seem like Don Juan. She was on the verge of commenting when what he said finally sunk in and suddenly, she couldn't speak herself.

She kept hearing Lily's words about fighting for what she wanted, and now he was right here in front of her asking her to take him back. For the first time in a long time, Jordan was afraid. Afraid that he only wanted her back because he couldn't handle being alone. She didn't know if she could handle him pushing her aside again once he got his strength back. When she did answer him, her tone was quieter than usual, and she looked a bit dazed.

"Is that really what you want? I thought you...hated me." The last comment stung a bit to admit to him, but she knew that he should hate her.

"Hated you?" Perry echoed, disbelievingly. "Jordan, the only reason I pushed you away so hard was that it was driving me nuts to be around you for a while, there, and..." he huffed out another sigh, running a hand through his hair. "I thought it'd be better for everyone if I tried to make things work with Lily. I thought things would work with that."

Of course, they hadn't, and it had taken him way too long to realize that part of the reason was that he'd never once really gotten over Jordan. Lily was right: years down the road, he would have been miserable, because as much as he had loved Lily -- as much as he still did love Lily -- she just wasn't the one.

And, there it was. Perry loved her, though in typical fashion, he didn't want to admit it to her. It was the kind of schmoopy crap that flowed freely from Lifetime movies and chick flicks, things Jordan normally avoided like the plague.

However, now that he was standing before her, telling her what she'd wanted to hear since the day she arrived. She felt tingly and odd, quite unlike her normal fully-confident self.

"That wasn't your fault, or hers. Sometimes two people just aren't right for each other. I used to think that was us.."
