She hadn't been back at Hogwart's long, having decided she really make the effort and actually spend Christmas with Rhys, she'd been gone long enough after all and he was bound to ask questions, which was exactly what had happened. The fact was she was glad to be back here, with people she didn't have lie too, because no matter how good she was at it she didn't enjoy it.

Coming down from the girl's dorms she spotted Jack and went over to him almost collapsing in the chair to him. "You're back then! So...how'd it go?" She asked.

Jack watched her, happy to see her and more than happy to have her come over to grace him with her company.

"Well, we had fun." That just about said it all, accompanied by the grin he gave her it was obvious quite how much fun covered. "How about you then good Christmas? Any good presents?"

Gwen had rather been hoping she wouldn't have to talk about her Christmas much, which was why she'd asked him about his first.

"Oh you know, it was Christmas with the family, it was good to see them but well all the usual questions, how's work, when are you and Rhys getting married, things I either couldn't answer or didn't want to." She replied reaching around her neck to pull the necklace Jack had given her from under her jumper.

"And I got one of two good things, thanks for this Jack, it was very sweet of you. In fact I suppose I should give you your present now should I?" She continued reaching into her jeans pocket and pulling out a box that she handed him.

Jack laughed slightly, if he was honest with himself it was slightly off, she'd mentioned marriage. It gave him the perfect opening to ask her about certain things, but that could wait for the moment. "Well I got banned from travelling with another airline but then I kinda got given a bit of a plane to fly when I want so it all works out."

"Glad you liked it, wasn't really sure. Here's hoping Rhys doesn't get all jealous." He took the box from her. "You didn't have to." He trailed off as he opened the box. "They're." He couldn't quite figure out what to say except. "Thank you."
