Round #004; Challenge #03: Submission Post
I'm not quite sure if xerox_kitty is still on holiday or not, so I'm just going to go ahead and post this before I forget...
ROUND #004 CHALLENGE #03
The theme for this challenge is Foreign Languages.
Absolutely NO ENGLISH ALLOWED!! Your icon can feature any character, item, location or aspect of the Harry Potter world and you may use any font for the text, but you must have legible non-English text in your icon. Tiny text does NOT count towards this, though if you do have tiny text, it must be either completely illegible or in a non-English language.
The actual content of the text is completely of your own choice. It is up to you whether you want to have just one word, a whole phrase, or any combination. You may choose any non-English language, dead or alive, with any type of alphabet. You must also provide a translation, which will be provided during voting.
If you feel that your icon may need explanation, please explain; it will help us determine the suitability of your submission. If you have questions about the theme or the validity of your interpretation, please feel free to contact us. If your icon does not fit the theme, we will inform you. You will have until the submission deadline to correct it.
Please note;
• You may only submit an icon for Challenge #03 if you survived Challenge #02. If you were eliminated, don't worry... we will be having a comeback challenge halfway through the round, which will be announced at that time.
• You may submit one (1) icon using the theme provided in this post. You will use your own image to make your icon. You can also use stock images, brushes, and textures. Please be sure your icon contains all necessary details for the challenge.
• Your icon must conform to LiveJournal standards; 100x100 and 40 kb or less.
• Do not promote your icon, and do not post, display, or otherwise use your icon anywhere on the Internet until after this Round is over and the results have been posted, or you will be disqualified from the round. This includes telling your friends about your icon. You may not reveal your character at any point until the Round is over.
• If you would like to use a skip for this challenge, please comment to this post saying so. You can check your remaining skips here.
• To submit, reply normally to this screened post with the image and URL of your icon, as well as your name and House if you are a sorted member of hogwartsishome. If for any reason you need to resubmit, please delete your prior submission comment before posting a new one. You may resubmit as many times as you'd like until the deadline.
